DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF THE STANDARD CLASS TAILLESS SAILPLANE DUTAG
Keywords:
Aerodynamics, DesignAbstract
This paper focuses on the design and analysis of the tailless glider DUTAG. The design of an advanced tailless glider is only possible by means of a program that shows the effect of design decisions on all disciplines. The design philosophy (ICADS) implemented in these programs made the following conclusions possible: To be competitive a tailless glider needs a tail. The gull wing planform does offer gust alleviation and will probably be seen on gliders in the future.Downloads
